In Germany, there is no paddling at school since a long time. I think, it stopped when my parents there in primary school in the late 50´s:--)

All I got to say is if I were ever paddle in school I wouldn't dare act up. For one thing I am a girl, so I know that would hurt a lot! Guys can handle something like that. But as for me I know I would be crying...
