let me explain....that is what happening when you do something that you really don't care much, when you it is just fun , without want to prove anything...that how Art really works...when your mind is free....by the way i don't have nothing to do with these creation, but I really love ti too...

this is really fun :) and I've been reading your website, you got a lot of geeky stuff there :) amazing, I bookmarked it and also clicked those that help you. I got there because I was looking for info because I wan't to build a wireless camera system, and I found the IR one, which I also find interesting =) so thanks! Keep up the good work!

What I used was...
A Canon Ixus digital camera.
The head from a tripod mounted on a small plank of wood.
2 screws in the wood to allow me to slide along the edge of the desk.
A ruler stuck to the desk to guide me how far to move it.
A cheap chess set.
Lots of time and patience.

For each frame I slid the camera on it's plank of wood 2mm along the desk and moved the knights a little. I tried to keep the knights roughly in front of the camera to keep their speed fairly even.
As for where you can get it, I just looked around the house.
