Phil & John (& Band) - Lonely Dancer (Recorded at Flevo Festival, Holland in August 1985). Phil & John were the first CCM band that I recorded with (back in the early '80s). The first album was 'Waiting For Summer' ('84) and the second 'Lonely Dancer' ('85). The songwriter & singer Chris Eaton was very much a part of these recordings and you can hear his influence in some of the early songs of Phil & John (I am sure that they would agree with that). I have spent years recording and touring with most of this amazing band and am so grateful that I have preserved this VHS recording to remember just how wonderful it was to be a part of this team. This song is one of my all time favourites of P&J, beautiful and so evocative of that era within the music industry (with artists such as Prefab Sprout & Scritti Politti on the scene). Respect dear friends and thank you for so many years of wonderful tours, recordings & memories. Phil Baggaley (Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards), John Hartley (Vocals/Guitar), Les Moir (Bass), Neil Costello (Guitars), Steve Thompson (Keyboards), Bobby Clarke (Drums/Percussion), David Fitzgerald (Saxes), Julie & Belinda Moon (Backing Vocals).
