Ron paul is a nut. Just because he makes these promises doesn't mean he can keep or enforce them. He's not going to be president. The only reason he's popular is because he makes these stupid statements about disbanding the fbi.

As obnoxious and STUPID and IGNORANT as Romney is on Ron Paul's foreign policy views, and as much as I agree with Larsen's anger against him on that, he's probably wrong or irrelevant on this 1% thing. Good grief, we tax 1% on all goods and services as consumption, and it "somehow" replaces income taxes which takes at least a power of ten more than that 1%?! If it "works" it's by vertically adding on layers of taxes at each level of input which could lead to too much vertical integration.
