Quite a rare video of Martin Brundle explaining the driving styles of Alonso, Button, Schumacher and Raikkonen.

  • Fernando Alonso seems to have change his own driving style during the last 4 years. At the moment he is not as agressive than in 2005 or 2006. In my opinion he has improved his style and he knows when he has to be agressive and when not with the idea of saving the tyres.

  • @FranklinMarshalSpain His style we saw in the old generation Renaults came about because of their huge rear weight bias and how the car was built around the tyres. He employed his massively aggressive style back then because that was the fastest way (at least for him) to drive the car. He doesn't drive that way anymore because the cars are no longer designed that way, as well as (correct me if I'm wrong here) weight bias having been standardised by the FIA.

  • and then there is senna's driving style, no living being can actually do it

  • Martin could do again this video, by including Hamilton and Kubica; and comparing old styles as Clark, Fangio, Senna, Prost, Stewart or Villeneuve

  • I tend to use an aggressive syle in F1 2011

  • @Willbutler Your mad if you don't think drivers like Schumacher, Button or Alonso don't have great natural ability. These 3 are some of the best to ever step foot in a formula 1 car

  • @Willbutler - Lol yup, just a constant 4 wheel drift.

  • 2:11....When other drivers warm up the tire and brake, Alonso is warming up the chassis and suspension...

  • @rosun82 Schumi had a killer car though

  • @Topkartracer Haha, he couldn't even beat Schumacher in 92...

  • @Topkartracer no I agree with you, we have drivers like hamilton and vettel who have natural ability, like senna, I think the only other drivers who have come through with the god given gift to race are clark and fangio

  • @Willbutler People will think Im crazy for suggesting this, but Senna wouldn't be quite as dominant against the current crop of drivers. The field is so deep now. Don't get me wrong, Senna would still win some races, but he'd face some stiff competition.

  • @PS3GameProductions Dont call me a moron for correcting someones absurd and ill educated comment on my hero. It shouldn't need arguing that hes a legend but there are always scum on the internet that know fuck all and slur these stupid comments.

  • @Desdirodeabike Also because his current car isn't as well balanced, and it eats tires like no other car in the grid so he can't be too aggressive.
