"Keep your feet still Geordie Hinny" is one of Joe Wilson's most famous songs and is a love song of sorts. Another Geordie song that many people know the chorus but not the verses. I have been a great admirer of Jow Wilson with his canon of touching and humorous songs from the North East. He was a great performer, writer and an observant chronicler of late 19th Century Northern England.

  • ere love this song me like could u do a request by any chance? rekon ure voice would suit jimmy nails big river would be awsome to hear that!

  • That's a great compliment. I think that Jimmy nail's publisher would have a lot to say about me recording the song. As It happens I have sung it but I think it's the Nailster himself who does the best version by a fine Geordie mile.

  • So pleased that you like it.

  • Thanks again it does make a difference to me that people enjoy what I do.

  • Tony. You sing so beautifully. Thanks for posting- I really enjoy your songs.

  • Thanks for that. I'm glad you enjoy it. Like many singers I am not the biggest fan of my own voice but I do enjoy the process of writing and singing, so it is good to know that other people like the songs.

    I'm so pleased at flattered.

    Thanks
