mind blown. lastnight i saw M.I.A. and then, Jello Biafra came out and sang some M.I.A. songs and some Dead Kennedys songs- finishing with a chillingly awesome encore! WHOLY PUNK ROCK AND ROLL MADNESS I MUST BE DREAMING BUT IT FEELT SO REAL on my first and last lap around this legend show pit. i cant believe it! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

the video is clippy- deal with it. its low res, love it, cuz its shot on a cannon point and shoot photo camera with minimal video capabilities. even more minimal capabilities after the show and pit action. at one point in an M.I.A. clip you can see and hear my camera smash and break, which i fixed by hitting it madly. at another point you can hear and see my wide angle lense get nocked off my camera by a fist and shatter as it hits the ground.

What your seeing is M.I.A. with Jello Biafra (former Dead Kennedys front man) rocking and rolling all over the Detroit bar stage, poking bush and dedicating one of his most famous songs to Govenor Schwarzenegger. This was all in loving memory of and to benifit Mike Conley's family. Mike Conley... punk rocking family man- bar/venue owner (Avalon in Costa Mesa, California). Mike was crucial in facilitating a red hot art and music movement that we enjoy here in costa mesa. True to his locals punk roots, with a passion for people- A local band could be found opening for The Black Lips or some other touring rock band and then bartending the rest of the night (The Flying Saucers). Mike was and will always be a legend to anyone that knew him. Front man for M.I.A., an influential punk band who was signed to Jello Biafra's lable, Alternative Tenticles, after opening for the Dead Kennedys in a set of las vegas storage units. Both bands went on to make some historical and hugely influential music.

this show, april 27, 2008 was loud- awesome- punkrock- legendary- epic- whatever you wanna call it still wouldnt do it justice to see the california uber alles and lets lynch the landlord live. I hope the video gets you that much closer to the experiance of actually being there. Cheers!
