  • Couple things I want to get off my chest based on some of the comments here... The Wire is one of the best shows ever put on television. This song is an amazing song. One of my personal favorites... If people associate this song with The Wire.. so what?! A GREAT show exposed more people to a GREAT song and got people who may not have known about The Pogues to start discovering a GREAT band... Whats the problem here? These are all great things! Im a Pogues fan and a Wire fan. You happy now bitch?

  • The Wire Brought me here. What a song, love it. Ironically though McNulty is played by a Brit.

  • He was the black sheep. A permanent pariah. He asked no quarter of the bosses and none was given. He learned no lessons. He acknowledged no mistakes.

  • This might be one of the greatest American songs ever written. It deserves to be sung a hundred years from now. It deserves to be sung by every American, with attitude, by every American wo feels isolated. I'm a free-born man of the U.S.A!

  • Ol' King Cole

  • @TheRebelman95 Not at all. I've rarely heard any song, coming from the West, that is against America. Lots of songs are against government policies, namely foreign policy, or the culture, like over consumption and materialism, but any song you find that you think is "against America" is likely just dissent against some policies. But since patriots are emotionally dependent on their country, they will deem anything that talks bad about their country as anti-country.

  • @mischief30m "20 years after an Irishman couldn't get a fucking, we had the presidency - may he rest in peace. That's what the niggers don't realize. If I got one thing against the black chappys it's this: no one gives it to ya. You have to take it." The Departed, Jack Nicholson.

  • Hate America todey! Love their "short" history! Love Ireland! Worship Guinness and Jameson!

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa FUCKIN SERBIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
