Chicagos Finest is composed of a powerhouse group of former Chicago members who have attained individual successes in pop and rock music as solo artists or as members of other bands after leaving Chicago.

Marty Grebb, original vocalist, arranger, saxophonist and keyboardist of The Buckinghams who was responsible for bringing together the ex-Chicago musicians for the tour, is considered one of the most accomplished musicians in the industry and has had successful collaborations with Leon Russell, Greg Allman, Bonnie Rait, Joe Walsh, David Sanborn and John Lennon.

Chris Pinnick, on the other hand, is involved in numerous recordings and session works for some of the biggest names in rock music in his California studio and at the same time writes scores for movies and performs live occasionally.

Kenny Cetera comes from the musical Cetera family that also includes his brothers Peter and Tim; all three of them have at one time or another performed or recorded with Chicago.

Tim Scott has performed and collaborated with rock icons like Eric Clapton and Stephen Stills.

Organized in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, Chicago began as an experimental rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound that eventually helped make it one of the longest-running and most successful American pop/rock and roll groups.

It gained popularity for producing a number of hit ballads until its steady stream of hits in the 70s and 80s placed it only second to The Beach Boys in number of singles and albums sold.

Chicago was named by Billboard magazine as the leading US singles charting group in the 70s, selling over 120 million albums worldwide and scoring 22 gold, 18 platinum and eight multi-platinum albums. Throughout its career, it has charted five No. 1 albums and has scored 21 Top 10 hits.

"Hard To Say I'm Sorry"

Everybody needs a little time away
I heard her say, from each other
Even lovers need a holiday
Far away from each other

Hold me now
It's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay

After all that we've been through
I will make it up to you
I promise to
And after all that's been said and done
You're just a part of me I can't let go

Couldn't stand to be kept away
Just for the day, from your body
Wouldn't want to be swept away
Far away from the one that I love

Hold me now
It's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to know
Hold me now
I really want to tell you I'm sorry
I could never let you go

After all that we've been through
I will make it up to you
I promise to
And after all that's been said and done
You're just a part of me I can't let go
And after all that we've been through
I will make it up to you
I promise to

You're going to be the lucky one

  • @Porthosec got that right! Go to facebook .i put up a rehersal here in chicago. My buddy has a terry kath tele copy.He is the best. We had a terry kath tribute concert

in chicago with kenny, danny s and jim gurcio..great bunch of guys..

  • NO THIS IS not Chicago ...This is Peter Cetera's brother Kenny Cetera singing

  • No, he's NOT wrong, stratman597. They rarely perform with them anymore. (it's Parazaider, btw)

  • this is not the gruop chicago!

  • you're absolutely wrong!!!

jim pankow, walt pariezader and lee loughnane are original members AND still tour with chicago. you're 8 up!!

  • The band is tight, they seem to have a better feel than the current configuration of Chicago. Although Vocally this song seems a stretch perhaps if it was down an octave. He has a great voice. This could of been at the end of a set.

  • With the exception of the bass player, this Chicago tribute band has three guys with some serious ties to Chicago's history, and Kenny is a REAL Cetera who brings that sound back to the songs,. Chris has always been one of the best post-Kath guitarists Chicago ever had, and Marty goes way back the beginning with Chicago. Heck, Robert Lamm is the only constant touring member of the "real Chicago" who was actually on the early records! Promoted wrong, perhaps, but pretty cool, none the less.

  • funny... I could swear it reads "Chicago's Finest" ... not "Chicago"?

  • Well pikes, I don't like paying full pop to hear the 'real' Chicago these days: you won't see Peter Cetera, Terry Kath, Danny Seraphine and for that matter most of the original horn section at a so called "REAL" Chicago concert these days either. So, who's calling the kettle black? And for my money, Chris play this stuff better than anyone other than Terry. I like their energy. And I think Kenny sounds damn good on his brother's tunes. Thanks for posting, jelo.

  • I agree. This is not the original Chicago Transit Authority specifically with the absence of its distinct original horn section; Jimmy Pankow, Lee Loughnane and Walt Parazaider and of course Robert Lamm. I am from Manila and was so disappointed with how it was billed and promoted as a "reunion" concert.
