Extract and edit from final episode of Ashes to Ashes series 2, where Gene Hunt destroys another childhood tv memory. Abolutely brill.

  • Great stuff! If the BBC ever bring Jackanory back for real, they should definitely get Philip Glenister to do a reading, and depending on the story even in character as Gene Hunt.

  • They have brought Jackanory back its on CBBC or Cbbebies as Jackanory Juniour lol

  • @UK31337 what did you find!? :)

  • @UK31337 What did you post? What did you find interesting???!!! :)

  • Good one. It's also fair to say that Philip Glenister and Keeley Hawes would make very good straight Jackanory storytellers. The illustrations here are every bit as good as those in the original Jackanory.

  • That was the second best bit of the episode after "Carnegie! You've just been Quattroed

  • "orrible awful 'edache." haha :)

  • Ha, I've just noticed something *very* interesting. Going to post it on the Railway Arms forum.

  • "You Be'ta be sitting comfortably or there'l be tears!"...

    LOL, Classic.

  • Apparently that's part of the mystery about who/what Gene Hunt really is.

But then again, Gene Hunt is wrong about a lot of things e.g. psychiatry instead of psychology so who knows.
