"British" Pakistani family shot dead in honour killing

21/05/2010 - A "British" Muslim couple and their daughter were gunned down by family members in a family feud in Pakistan. The murders were so-called "honour killings" after the marriage between their son and the daughter of the other family broke down.

This is the latest in a series of high-profile crimes against "British" Muslims visiting Pakistan. Two weeks previously Jameel Ahmed, 74, a school governor from Bolton, was beaten to death by armed robbers while visiting family in Pakistan.

And earlier this year a five-year-old boy from Oldham was kidnapped from a house while on holiday in the Punjab region. Sahil Saeed was held for ransom and after his parents paid £100,000 ransom he was released by his captors two weeks later, and found wandering in a field 25 miles from where he was snatched.

Pakistan is becoming an increasingly lawless place with armed criminals roaming the streets and terrorist gangs with links to the Taliban and Al-Qaeda operating freely in many areas. Corruption is widespread.

Nice country and people eh. And yet the UK still thinks it's a good idea to give Pakistan £430 million of international development aid and allow them to come here because..?

not anything to do with British Pakistanis in Britain don't know why anyone is talking about that. It was caused by cultural issues within Pakistan, caused by poverty leading to hostility and a lack of education.

There are a lot of Pakistanis in the UK,many of them don't respect the culture and law there but,what is funny is they often complaint that the white British are being racist. Why do you want to live a "racists" country?
