    It is a stator for a brushless outrunner motor. These are very common in R/C airplane applications, but are also found occasionally in industrial settings.

  • That's pretty cool. I needed to re-wind one of my brushless motors, after one of the leads ripped, and this shows exactly how to do it better than any static diagram. Great job, and thanks!
