  • They claim conservation. They claim they tag and release. They support the company that sells the Nurse Sharks to Pet Stores. The National Aquarium should be the best our country has to offer. As far as the other companies they are not doing it right either by dumping chemicals on all the fish killing 99% within a year. But I don't expect them to have the same standards as "Americas National Aquarium". Thank-you for reconizing our efforts and the purpose behind exposing the truth.

  • Unlike other companies they do not claim to be "Americas" National Aquarium, nor do they hold thereselves to this high standard they claim. Monthly replacement fish from the very same wholesaler selling Americas sharks and fish around the world. The whole aquarium is full of sick, dying creatures waiting to be replaced like an illision or actually I would call it a "National" scam.

  • We are not talking about the stillness. It's the open sores, sunk in eyes and latter line on the shark in this video. The other sharks eyes were bugged out. After keeping sharks ALIVE for the last 20 years we too know how they should behave and look! The third shark was laying behind a rock "waggleing", which is what a dying Nurse sharks does instead of just laying still, like normal. We professionaly cared for many large sharks on a daily basis while working at the Key West Aquarium.

  • There is NOTHING more important then the LIFE of these creatures. We also took pics of the electric eel, angel fish, boxfish (Full of Ick and finrote) and other creatures that clearly had open flesh showing along with the Nurse sharks. Is this the same renown marine biologist and shark reseacher who told us to KILL ours? Or the same that orders replacement fish in from Dynasty Marine? Or the THREE octopus they have killed in the last 8 months? Reports have been filed.

  • The point is to prove that "Americas Aquarium" is NOT the best our country has to offer and does not deserve the title of "National". And the company they are getting them from is pumping them into the Pet Stores and around the world.

We are trying to stop this!!!

  • Normal behavior of nurse sharks is to lie motionless on the sea bottom pumping air through their gills. This is not unusual behavior and does not indicate in any way that something is wrong with the animal.

  • Healthy nurse sharks don't behave like that. That is definitely not normal. I hope and pray that someone steps up and helps the aquarium because they obviously need help. I'm disgusted to see this animal in distress. How sad =(
