  • Good book. Her co-author Prof. Liu was nominated by Obama but the Republicans strongly opposed him (repeatedly filibustering the nomination) because of his forceful liberal voice, which explains why Karlan -- even more outspoken -- is not a likely candidate.

  • I like the Video, and Professor Karlan has made me interested in her book, which I shall purchase soon.

    Ms. Karlan certainly appears worthy of being considered for the Supreme Court, but President Obama must think in "realpolitik" terms...as brillant as she is, could Professor Karlan get confirmed? The Democratic majority is too slim for the President to risk giving the Republicians a chance to "Bork" Ms. Karlan.

  • Can someone explain why Obama didn't pick Professor Pamela Karlan for the Supreme Court to replace Justice Stevens ??
