God, there were so many amazing effects to do at the beginning, it was so hard to decide. Oh well, I should talk about the song, what I've been doing, etc. The rundown of my YouTube career right now. Here it is:
Well, I've been reorchestrating the soundtrack from Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal for quite some time now. I've got a lot of tracks done, but because I don't have any GarageBand Jam Packs, they aren't even close to their full potential.
However, I've been itching to give my viewers a taste of what I've been doing recently, and since I haven't uploaded a video in a long time, I decided on this one. So far, this is the only track I won't change once I get the Jam Packs, so I can upload this one.
I'd like to upload these tracks spontaneously, in order, and at their full potential, so I can only upload the rest once I get the two Jam Packs with the most complete set of instruments. Unfortunately, though, that means I won't be uploading any more of these tracks from the album for a LONG time (some time after Christmas)
BUT, there are a few things I'd like to tell you about this album of remixes I'm making, called Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions Soundtrack: Remixed, Reorchestrated, and Redone.
All outdoor tracks will have natural sounds, such as bird chirps and cricket chirps, but also waves, seagulls, etc. The various sounds depend on time of day, location, etc.
All outdoor tracks (And the Pokémon Center) will have two versions: Day and Night. The differences between them will include tempo, nature sounds, and instrumentals.
All tracks for areas where Pokémon can be found will include the cries of various Pokémon that can be found there.
All towns will have different music. It will be similar to the towns the originals shared music with, but it's won't be that same. You'll see what I mean when I finish uploading things.
I will try to make sure each track sounds the best it can, while still retaining the feel that the original, 4-bit tracks had. (Yes, the GB/GBC's soundchip was only 4-bit, not 8-bit)
And finally, the amazing thing that you will all LOVE to hear:
Drumroll please.....
I plan to burn ALL tracks to 5 CDs, and give them out somehow. I'm thinking of a contest on YouTube where 5 people win, and the prize is the CD, but I'm still trying to decide about that. (Plus, I don't know if it's completely legal, given that this is Nintendo's music, not mine)
Ok, now I’m pulling a Billy Mays here...
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
No, I'm not done, yet! If there's enough room on the CDs, not only will I burn the remixed track to it, BUUUUUTTT.....
I will also burn all of the tracks from the original game to the CD, so you have NOT ONLY the original sound files, but also their orchestrated counterparts. How does that sound, huh? Awesome, right?
Ok, well I hope you enjoy this song, and the rest of the soundtrack when it comes.
Epic win.
Downloading to mp3 now. :)

Actually, don't do that. QUITE yet. Christmas is almost up and I'm probably going to be getting a few GarageBand Jam Packs, so I'm going to revamp the brass line a little to include more variety.

Did you just say that Apple Earbuds work the best?
Noob.

They have way better quality than anything I've used.
And by "headphones," I mean REASONABLE headphones. I mean obviously the really expensive ones work better than basic Apple Earbuds.

Like it's playing but the sound isn't coming up? If that's the case, try either turning on your computer's sound (which I'm sure you tried) or turning up the video sound in the video box.
