Using XP on an SSD is a surefire way to kill your SSD. XP doesn't have TRIM, you should be using windows 7 with these drives.

@KarateKid430 My Core 2 Duo 1.8 Ghz T7100 Mobile processor in Dell D630 managed to boot Windows XP in 5 seconds. If you don't believe me check my video on my channel. Windows 7 in 12 seconds and Windows Vista in 14. Core 2 is awesome.

@David2377 more like $339.00 for a 100gb OCZ Vertex SSD
-
$3000 for 3.5 ssd, COOL, so not worth the boot time
-
@wicked4u2c fuck up bullshit not 2 secs. i7 980x can't even do that.
And as for ssdisk (more like so suck dick) fuck up a core 2 duo couldn't do this and at least do this on a late operating system "oh my core 2 duo is so fast! It can boot up a fresh copy of windows 3.1 in under 19 minutes"
-
So he started up a fresh copy of windows on a formatted disk... big friggin deal.
I signed in just to tell you that you're a moron. It goes by either the rotation speed of the drive, or the architecture drive. Gigabytes do not measure speed when it comes to storage.

that's no longer the case. SSD is actually more reliable, at least for the top of the line ones like memoright and mtron. And for games, they fly. If you are a gamer, a pair of mtron or memoright drives in raid 0 is a must.
