Buffalo stampede at the Camrose Golf Course

Late in the evening on Monday August 23, 2010, Camrose RCMP reported that between 30-40 buffalo were loose north and northeast of Camrose.

Attempts to corral the herd failed as they split up into different groups. This video, courtesy of Darren McDermott shows some of the buffalo on the Camrose Golf Course August 24, 2010.

Camrose RCMP Cpl. Jim Link cautioned the public to keep their distance from the bison. "We're not going to do anything to them unless they become a danger to the public," Link said.

Yeah, chasing them around in a golf cart seems like a brilliant idea. A herd animal would never think of doing that--clearly the other-worldly intelligence of their tormentors is what spooked them.
