http://www.mannythemovieguy.com -- my interview with Josh Brolin for the film, "No Country for Old Men." See what he says about his character, Llewellyn Moss, the bibilical allegories of the film, why you have to see the movie now, and my religious affinity, with...gasp...MADONNA!

  • What do you mean? You can apply the Holy Trinity idea here. However, I think if you're going to apply it God would be Anton.

  • @UncomfortableSilence That's a good template, or I would put Anton Chigurh in the Holy Spirit category as well...thanks for watching!

  • interviewer streched for the biblical bit. not every good movie is biblical references.

  • @dgb751 Author Cormac McCarthy is known for infusing his work with biblical references, and if you had seen the Coen brothers' latest flick, A Serious Man, that was loaded with biblical references as well -- hence, what I was asking had some foundation -- but ultimately, I think, the film is about failed redemption...

  • Holy Trinity?? REALLY?? Exactly how does Chigurh play into the trinity you moron? Who the hell is Tommy Lee, God? Shut the fuck up and quit pushing your bullshit religion on people who are actually capable of intelligent thought. "I always thought as I got older, God would come into my life. But He didn't." Pay attention you cock gobbling moronothon.

  • Hi there, Cormac McCarthy, the author of the book, is known for his religion metaphors...if you read the book, you'll know what I mean...but thanks for watching, and have a great weekend!

  • he was completely awesome as doc block.

  • Manny, you rock! I loved the interview. How in the world did you keep your composure in front of this a sexy, gorgeous man? I don't care about the hateful comments. You were professional and offered a critical analysis to the film that rarely surfaces in short interviews. Good job. :)

  • Thumbs up if you remember Josh in Thrashin!

  • Great movie.

  • Pt2.Cont.& he takes a type of 'god'-like (satan is called 'the god of 'this' world) pleasure in administering it - his execution of Welles. The sherriff is as close as it gets 2 God-(the Father),he is concerned, compassionate & wants to help-&acknowledges the predicament Moss is in plainly-but is then made to look incapable of protecting him. There is no real Jesus character as such. The real God is fully capable of protecting all from satan/death & has defeated them through His son Christ Jesus.

  • Pt1. Was just thinking about this one.The Trinity idea doesnt fit too well I think. If u want 2 analyse it in a biblical light, here's what I think: Moss represents all fallen men (he's an opportunist, a thief-he still took something that was not his, he's still a sinner who needs help whether he'll admitt it or not, whether he know's it or not). Chigurh is either/or both: a principality of death/satan himself (because 'death is certain'...

  • Wow could they have found a bigger flamming queen to give the interview? He was drooling all over himself.

  • BEST SCENE IS WHEN HE SAYS ILL TELL HER MYSELF
