Peeling the Onion (Part 1) Composed by Randy Gloss, Performed by Hands On'Semble: Randy Gloss, Andrew Grueschow, Austin Wrinkle. Featuring: Swapan Chaudhuri and Houman Pourmehdi. April 24th, 2008 at California Institute of the Arts.
This isnt Persian music, nor is it based on Persian music, it has nothing to do with Persian music. It is a piece for percussion ensemble based on rhythmic cycles of eleven beats with each section outlining a different type of eleven and different soloists. Whether you hate it or not it is irrelevant but it takes highly skilled percussionists to improvise in these complex cycles. Good luck dealing with all of that anger, jealousy, and hatred:)
I cannot even begin to tell you how stupid this is... These people call themselves musicians. It makes me sick to my stomach. What a disgrace to Persian Music
