If you do it as I described below, you compact the powder tight within the original casing. Wrapping tape around it creates more pressure the powder has to overcome and contains the powder during hammering. The more the powder is compacted, the larger the explosion. Your method simply creates pressure that 'pops' the bottle. Just like a draino bomb. If you try my method properly, you will never waste your time emptying the powder.

dude its better to stand the bottle up because if you put it side ways the explosion will make the bottle shoot out in any direction. including yours.

Yah. The smaller the better. Also, if you use a poweraid or Gatorade bottle it will work better because the plastic is harder. Just experiment that's all.
