The Legendary Sound of Wurlitzer

In the production of this CD,we aimed to recreare the acustic conditions of the time in which 78s were recorded,utilising all fone's experience and technological expertise. The recording was made with Wurlitzer mod. 850, USA 1941 juke boxe, kindly lent by Elisabetta and Paolo De Angelis, oweners of Turin's OLD company. The sound was recorded using historical Neumann U48 microphones, which were placed in such a way as to evoke the magical feeling of the Wurlitzer sound, to recall the atmosphere breathed by juke box lovers who listened to the music so long ago.
