Two weeks ago i saw a cool TV show about building a Trebuchet. The giant trebuchet these guys have built was aimed at throwing pianos.
Their creation made it possible to throw a upright piano 75 meters in the air and 120 meters away from the trebuchet.
This program was the inspiration for the next Lego Trebuchet. I used 2 Lego motors as a counter weight.
Cool, but thats not a trebuchet. That would be a Roman Oganar(mabye spelled wrong). A trebuchet is a counter weight weapon when the arm goes all the way down and the sling is much longer then that and the sling is long as the base length.

You probably mean "Tabletop Roman Onager" which is a different beast and was mostly engined by twisted ropes.
This is a variation on the basic trebuchet and just has a moving pivot/center which makes it a more lethal weapon.

A wheeled axis creates a much bigger force than regular/simple Trebuchet.

hey its not a Trebuchet because it has no wheels and or its on a fixed point but if you can put wheels on it it would be stronger . not beaing mean just a tip.

If you take the wheels off from a Hammer, does it stop being a Hammer?
