Da Dutch!

I just arrived to stay but this brings a tear to my eyes. Cause I can't believe what I'm seeing today. Wait. It could be the 12 LSD
Tablets.

I saw the children's display the final Xmas before it all came to an end. It was wondrous. Woodward's was special to those who worked and shopped there. My father got his first job in the downstairs grocery. My aunt married the guy behind the meat counter. I loved going to a Woodward's store as a kid in the 70s. Quality things made in N. America! What a shame the owners murdered it, just like Eaton's and soon the Bay. $1.49 day Tuesday! Sugar lumps wrapped in paper! Thanks for the smile.

I had a picture taken with Santa on one of the last Christmas year it was in business, sad how it is closed :'( I remember like it was yesterday, i wish it could have kept in business.

@Gojiira Along with the Honest Nat's jingle. Yesterday a buddy sang the complete Dick Irwin Chevrolet jingle. Now that brought me back! (Dick Irwin what a great, great guy).
-
That jingle was known to all vancouverittes on all the radio stations.
C-Fox in the 80's played it a bunch
-
@ethicomm Of course I do. Back in the early 60's it was either CKNW or CKWX but I believe it was played more on CKNW
-
@sereneles You must remember the Woodward's $1.49 radio jingle!
-
Woodward's, what can you say? When I was a kid in the 1960's we'd venture to Oakridge Woodward's and go to the White Spot coffee shop for hamburgers. Then we'd go to Woodward's in Guildford. When I lived in Vancouver it was Woodward's on Hastings and sometimes in Lansdowne. Great store, I miss it!
You guys are very welcome. I knew that all of you would enjoy this video
