Trailer for David Lammy's project on Black Fatherhood in the 21st Century. On Monday, 15th March, David will address an audience of policy makers, charities and journalists about the cultural and legislative changes that need to take place in order to address the issue of absent and young black fathers.

The video features various community leaders and successful black african men, including Sir Trevor McDonald OBE and the rapper, and current UK chart-topper, Tinie Temper.

" Mothers bring up 59% of African Caribbean children many of them do so alone. If we as black men cant get employment then we are economically emasculated. If we are facing racism in Stop and Search were humiliated and some times falsely arrested. When our young boys are expelled from they school they are cast out and rejected. But to abandon our own children without contact or support induces a psychology of violence so profound that it constitutes emotional barbarism."
