  • LOL. Imagine the fun if the Queen would have come out while they played that Darth Vader march.

  • The Band of the Welsh Guards did this when the Saudi Prince was on a state visit, they played the Imperial March while he was arriving in his car to inspect the Guard of Honour.

  • Awsome figger dan. LOL!

  • @rtwfreak They played the Star Wars theme, not the Vader theme

  • @rtwfreak They Did that for King Abdullah from Saudi

  • @Zero7evenX okey dokey,

  • @MrJimmyboy1972 PS: We are taught Australian history in school, but I was hardly there. A late learner.

  • @MrJimmyboy1972 Thanks for the heads up on that.

I did do some reading on up on it across the web, where there was some extensive discussions about it in history forums, but what you said is obviously true. pretty much like the word 'posh' which you may already know stands for 'Port-side Out Starboard Home' referring to overseas travel that became synonymous with the wealthy etc.

I'll get round to looking into it further, The History of Australia is on my agenda, I appreciate the message.

  • @Zero7evenX the abbreviation is POHM. Prisoner of His Majesty. thats where it came from. most of the original australians were convicts. pomegranate never came into it. oh! i lived in australia for a few years and never seen a pomegranate orchard. where are they.

  • @me *Aussies

  • @arsenaljsutliffuk There is a mixture of beliefs as to why us Brits are called Poms by the Assie's, as there are no official records of how the name came about.

But the strongest belief is because we imported large amounts of Pomegranate from Australia.
