Small acts of kindness
(lyrics reproduced by kind permission © Dogman songs 2010)
Small acts of kindness never said each other's name
they lived in a cottage down a never ending lane
They counted every penny shared fewer words
took crumbs from their table and fed the little birds
Though they barely had enough everything they shared
this is how Small acts of kindness showed that they cared
Some called them witches worse still when they laughed
they threw stones 'til every window cracked
Small acts of kindness kept a stray dog indoors
when cold winds came a calling gave pennies to the poor
Small acts of kindness passed away this Spring
and though they left nothing their names -
their names - the birds still sing - still sing - still sing
Lovely act by you, David.... Kisses, (no tongues), and hugs... Pretty bloody neat bass playing too... I'm going to have to look elsewhere to gatecrash!!
