Little video I put together for the testyourmight.com forum. I just go over how I hold the stick and how I hit the buttons. I am not saying this is the 100% best way to do it, but I have been playing on arcade sticks since 1991 and I think IMO this is the best way. I go over modding the stick with IL parts. The speed at which to correctly input combos. Correct way to do fireball motions. How to dash up and grab. Kung Lao's Plum Flower move. I show some combos with Ermac, Kung Lao, Noob Saibot, Jax and Jade. Hopefully it helps some people adjust to the stick. Enjoy.

Here is an update to this video that shows the combos in slow motion so you can see the inputs better:

  • Do you recommend buying this? Im really considering importing the tournament edition and a klassic one, £356 it will cost for both. I feel it appears easier to input attacks

  • @Dedamn666 Well, it depends. I am one of the original fighting gamers. I was playing SF and MK in the arcade in 1991, so I grew up loving the feel of this particular stick and button layout. When it comes to MK, I don't like playing it with a Street Fighter stick, even though a lot of the top players do play with a MadCatz SF stick which has a completely different stick and button layout. The PDP stick has the stiffer stick and the classic MK buttons. I will continue in another post below..

  • @Dedamn666 So most SF sticks use the Japanese sticks which are a lot looser, which they need to be for SF, but for MK, I don't like it as much. I've been to a few MK tournaments with this stick (PDP in Vegas and CEO in Orlando) and did really well with it. If you swith the stick out with an IL Euro stick, it works perfect. They feel great in your lap too. The USB connector on my stick did fail though. PDP sent me a brand new stick to replace it though. Overall, I love it. Just take care of it.

  • @Dedamn666 So basically, if you didn't grow up using this type of layout/stick and you think you can play on a pad and/or a SF stick, you should go with that. The advantage of learning how to use a SF stick is that you can use it on MK, SF, MvC, SC, etc....MK stick is gonna be good for MK only. As you can see in the video though, it is extremely easy to pull of any combos, this stick works perfectly.

  • @BehindTheLight99 Cheers i think im going to go with it any way. I never got used to playing them on the arcade because there wasnt many in the Uk. Would only play the MK arcade at the fair and when on holiday. I play MK more than SF, im not very good at street fighter. Im gonna take the plunge and buy them both . Ive found two sellers on ebay and other places. Will be awesome for when beer and friends are involved also. May get the Madcatz sticks for SF as im trying to improve my game on that

  • @Dedamn666 Yeah man, go for it. I've got 2 of them and 3 of my friends have their PDP sticks too. We get together and play a lot......it's awesome.
