considering adult swim is owned by turner broadcasting and time warner, it doesn't surprise me that they would dumb down their TV as much as possible. while i couldn't say for sure whether or not their motives for practically doing away with anime are a direct attempt to do this, i am more than aware of media ownership and general attempts to control and influence public thought in an adverse way. again, i couldn't say for sure that it's related, but given the status quo, it wouldn't surprise.
