To ask a dumb question, why does this not sound like Mortal Kombat. I've played almost every game and never once heard it sound like that.

It's a difference in sound mediums as well as general knowledge fault. String instruments sound different than brass instruments, it's a fact. But I also played the song incorrectly, only a few parts, such as the E-D-C section of the video.
