How to wrap a gift

In this video i show my usual method of wrapping presents, and the new method devised by Sara Santos of the Royal Institution as shown on BBC's The One Show (http://bit.ly/5qYju1)

I hint at some mathematical equations and a spreadsheet that helps me decide, given the dimensions of the gift, which method i should use.
