The buffer is what is taking the top layer of hair off!!!! A warm light is not going to kill the root of the hair. Hair is not conductive of either electricity or heat.

The hot wire - for lack of a better way to put it - fries the hair to a nub. I don't actually use the buffer at all.

Are you supposed to shave before you use it?

No, it has to be long enough to come in contact with the hot wire. You do have to shave before using the Tria tho - I did a video on that too, if you're interested.

I have a question.. Can u use that instead of shaving if u're using the tria laser hair removal?

Good question. I would say just shave first. If you don't get all the hair removed, the Tria will be a bit more painful. Better safe than sorry.

The Classic was not meant for the face. The 8800 is fine for the face. I have used both and they work the same.

Slightly, yes. It doesn't depend on which as they work about the same. It works fine on the face.
