My dog does the same thing when I come home from school. Hes just so happy that he doesn't know what to do with his face so he smiles and squints his eyes haha

some dogs have a trait that when they get excited they bare there teeth as a smile. had the dog been mad you would have heard a growl. dogs start growing before they bare there teeth when there angry.
