Islamic Teaching Referrences From a Parasitology Point of View

[This is not a hijab btw,it's just my ordinary praying costume, I just cant be bothered to wear a proper attire for a video LOL, sorry for my laziness people)

This video is to just surfacely go through what my lovely professor (who is a specialist doctor in parasitology and traveler's medicine) have to say about a 'well-known' taboo of impurity that lies within a certain types of animals within the Islamic teachings. (of course you would have to watch the video to know what animals they are since I would not want this video to cause such offense to the people around..sorry in advanced)

He's the professor that caught me taping his lectures on my previous video called "2 Years Later. A vlog!" (that was funny).

His insights about parasites are remarkable and from the way he teaches us, he seems very wise and precised. He have spent all his lives traveling to many places to give treatments to the locals, working with the World Health Organization (WHO). His favorite country is Singapore but he has deep passion for India.

I'm just so glad to have known him. =)

Why are you all wrapped up in sheets? Do you have a skin disease? Oh wait I just read the description...a praying costume? Respect for being a medical student bu zero respect for dressing like a ghost.

See I don't get it. On one hand you follow the writings of a 1500 year old book and at the same time you study to be a 21st century medical student. Something does not add up. It is like saying you are a creationist geologist.

@KalimaShaktide i wonder why i still hold on to islam after studying medicine for a few years. i guess medicine have proof wonders about the 1400 year old book, as it is timeless. besides we cannot explain everything in medicine using science alone. some causes are unknown to various diseases. lol.. u made me realize i look like casper..darn.lol..

and i must add, when i covered up for God, it's because i realized His wisdom. i obeyed because i have been through the whole being 'uncovered'...and yes, i do it because of men...meaning, i've had enough of trying to attract attention that way, or have this silent envy thing between other women. covering up is about modesty. it's about self-respect really. and it's about a lot of other things which i learned over time. Praise and thanks be to Him. we can condemn, on things we know not...

@KalimaShaktide there r tons videos of Muslim converts frm US and Oz women who decided to cover their bodies out of their own will. and so did i. if u want truth, listen 2 their story. it is for God, not because some man told us to! it's an unfortunate misconception, because yes in some parts of the world ppl r forced 2 wear it, n a lot of problems arise because of extremism rather then understanding. plus, wearing almost nothing in public is also extremism, isn't it? but human rights, right?

@emirates247 verses in the qur'an such as 5:48 says "N we haf sent down 2u the Book in truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it and watcher over them..." n 42:13 tells us bout de past prophets (Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad). we shud do research, and not be influenced by what he says she says. yes, u r right, we should think...16:78 "And God has brought u out from the wombs of ur mothers while u kno nothing. N He gave u hearing, sight and hearts that u might give thanks."

Assalamualaikum Wrwb dear sister :) I really enjoy watching your videos, may Allah reward u 4 de good. However dear sister, I have to check though, which verses of the Qur'an may have stated about the 'washing after touching dogs when wet' part. I did come across them as guarding/hunting animals (Quran 18:18, 18:22 and 5:4) but still wondering about the 'samak' part. I have heard/read dogs n pigs eating their poops..so that's logical 4 me about their saliva :)

The arguement that pigs and dogs are the most dangerous animals is complete rubbish. The most dangerous animal is actually an insect. The mosquito has been responsible for over 100 million human deaths in history. Malaria is one of humans most feared diseases. Another animal that is dangerous is the rat. The black plague killed over 1million people in my country england. So I say, dont allow religion to blind you. Think for yourself and use facts. Dont rely on 1 book alone.

@aizul You also seem to forget that men bodies also can turn people on...hell even cows or sheep can turn people on. So women because they should be submissive must hide themselves to other men because they can not control themselves but it is ok for men to turn on women?

Heard about Boobquake? Why is it that only women need to cover their body? Why not men? Haaa because men control women in your world and women are like property. I get it. So this is a symbol of property and control...I see.

@aizul So people like me would not degrade women? Strawman Argument much? So now I degrade women? There is no honor or self respect in hiding your body. You are only doing it because MEN told you to, because MEN and that means YOUR men (ie Muslims) can not control themselves because they are sexually repressed and frustrated.

The excuse of 'its for honor' is a joke that nobody buys anymore. Women are stoned to death for adultery or imprisoned for kissing in public..such honor right?
