OPEN ME FOR RECIPE and everything else you might want to know! :)

BIG THANKS to my dear friend Emma (lillaemson on youtube) who helped me film this video and also with the recipe since she is a amazing baker! Couldn't have done it without her!

RECIPE:
1. measure up 140 g of eggwhite in one bowl.
2. measure up 190 g almond powder/flour, and 190 g powdered sugar in a second bowl
3. measure up 60 g of sugar and 140 g of powdered sugar in a third bowl.
4. Whip the eggwhite almost meringue-like, but not all the way! Add the sugar/powdered sugar bowl mixture and whip until it's fully blended. If your batter starts to climb your whip-tool (I have no idea what's it's called..) - that is a good sign!
5. Add the almond/powdered sugar mixture to the batter, gently turn the dry ingridients into the batter - don't overmix! Add color. Keep in mind that adding liquid color changes the batter density, the same goes for powder color, keep that in mind and keep the color amount as little as possible. Gently mix the color into your batter.
6. Put the mixture into your pipe and pipe out small round equal sized macarons on your owen plate.
7. Tap your owen plate from underneath to beat any air out of the macarons and make them set a little bit. Smack the plate hard!! :P
8. You can leave them on the plate for 45 min if you want to - otherwise, put them in the owen right away.
9. Owentime either 8-10 min in the middle of the owen (125 degrees celcius), or 20 min in the lowest section of the owen. I find that 20 min works best!
10. Leave them to cool off
11. Add filling and find a matching lid.

Voila!

  • i've seen alot of recipes but yours seems the easiest, maybe its the way you make it hahaha anyway, how much is 140g of egg whites? 3 large eggs?

  • @norakishoraskahban haha thanks :) yes about three eggs,

  • hi may i ask you what kind of oven your using?

will it grow feet when i use regular oven?

  • @TheMakeupgirl123 continuing my answer; hot air ovens are the best for this recipe because the air makes the heat much more even inside the oven. But I don't have a hot air oven so I just use my regular oven and the macarons still grow feet so I think you should be fine. You might need to experiment with the heat though, to find the perfect temperature in your oven!

  • Oh, I never thought about just using nutella as the filling! That seems smart! I guess you could do that for cakes, cookies, or macarons! Anything really.

  • when i made them in college, we added the colour in before the almond powder, much easier.

  • @bghjierjlgolwqjw3ir I'm sorry I don't understand you dear :(

  • Hi! please tell me how you set the electric furnace (with fan and heat coming from below?) and how many degrees?

  • Lol it's called Nutella- everywhere they have it. Most people tend to refer it as nutella and not "chocolate cream" but yes, it's sold in Canada, America, Europe, pretty much everywhere. And I loved the look of your macarons, delightful!

  • GOTT! Du är duktig! Jag ska också börja lägga ut videor snart.... :D

  • @Harmonica401 no but you can try to be as exact as possible for best result? :)

  • @TheMakeupgirl123 I'm using a.. regular oven/stove from electrolux (model eke6100) which is not a hot air oven. These types of ovens are standard in sweden rental apartments so thats why I have one of those :)
