The acoustic intros and melodies used in thrash always make me think of the calm before the storm. A colony of harmonious tree people living their idle and peaceful lives, then.. BOOM!!! Nuclear explosions blasting them into bits, while the handicapped survivors are mutilated by mutated radioactive trees. This is probably great ganja making me picture this but I'll say it's the acoustic bit. Anyways, anyone know of thrash songs that use these sort of acoustic melodies? Mucho thanks

@agentcamo I know how you feel. Im the only one in my college who likes: EvilDead, Nuclear Assault, Slayer, Nasty Savage, Sodom, Slayer, Megadeth, Artillery. And everyone is like, "Meh thats old Metal, Slipknot is better" gets me so mad. People think Metal is: Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, bullet For My Valentine and all that shite. Then when i show them new Thrash bands like: Lich King, fueld By Fire, Gama Bomb. They are like "LOL no...." not many kids know what Metal is now :/

@agentcamo Dude, I hate getting responses from people when I tell them I listen to metal and they tell me that I must listen to screamo and I have to tell them straight every fucking time that metal isn't only the screamo bullshit. Your situation isn't too far different than mine at all.
