Kickboxing pad work with Jeremy Shelton striking, and Nate Fitzgerald holding.

So my form isn't perfect in this clip. As I'm kicking I'm letting down my guard on my left cheek. You ALWAYS wanna keep your guard up when you're throwing down. Hands up, elbows in, chin tucked down. When kicking with the right foot, you wanna glue your left hand to your cheek while chopping your arm down as the right leg slams into the target. This "arm chop" helps turn the hip over and add a little more snap to the kick. You wanna swing your shin around like a baseball bat toward the side of the thigh or ribs of your opponent. Once you've got better control you can start using your foot a little bit more as you aim for the face if you dare kick that high.

From a fitness stand point, training in Muay Thai will get you shredded, leave you drenched after every workout, and teach you rigged and powerful techniques that if executed correctly will leave your opponent wondering what just happened and why they're in such pain.

Knees and elbows are also weapons that Muay Thai fighters use that help keep the hands and feet injury free.
Stay tuned for proper elbow and knee demonstrations coming soon taught by Muay Thai Mike ;)

p.s.
Happy Kicking!!! ;P

  • wow.... that phat n phresh guy in the backwards cap was so cool on MTV jams

  • I'm not sure if the wierd camera angle is to make it look more intense or if ts trying to hide how terrible the guy hitting the pads is, but hey, props for promoting fitness with padwork instead of cardio kickboxing.

  • wow! he sucks!
