http://www.googlingsocial.com How to FTP Google Friend Connect files is not hard, it just takes an FTP plugin, the right settings in Firefox and a little information. Hope this helps you all and gets you up and running with Google Friend Connect.

  • I have an website CMS server"Swiftysite".

I've used this CMS to create a simple site.

Problem: I can not incorporate the Google Friendconnect on my web-page. If i go trough all the steps a message is displayed " this service is not aviable, please come back later". Alphamega states that all their settings are correct to host GFC. Do you have an solution?

  • @pncjansen Kinda hard to tell when we can't tell what platform you are on. You may want to track me to my site and then email me from there and I can help you. We can't post URLs on YouTube.

  • Ruby, it is a pleasure to help those that need it and are smart enough to ask.

  • The instructions are the same if you download FireFox for Mac.

  • Since I just switched to Unbuntu, FireFTP does also work on Linux and the instrucktions are the same.

  • Thank you soooooo much for this tutorial!!!!

  • Thanks!! I couldn't do this on IE, so I had to download Firefox. After following your instructions, it looks like it's going to work!

  • YAY! Have I told you that I love you lately???? Long story but followed your advice and presto it works. Now... are you going to be my first friend? ♥

    Thanks, my friend!

  • Thanks for your help!

  • Your FTP username and password is different than you admin login. Call your host and ask them how to retrieve your FTP credentials.

This is also assuming that you are using a hosted domain that you also own, not a free site.

Lastly, a blog is a website. A blog is no longer something written by a 35 year old virgin living in his mother's basement with a poster of Kevin Rose or Scully over his bed. Blogs are just websites and most of what you read on the web is

    Blog based. Hope this helps

  • Im not using a blog. Its a website. I thought I had to put my administrator username and password but that doesn't work.

    Thanks anyway
