@PJQ1968 Look at the writing credits, it's credited to Lennon/McCartney is almost all Lennon. Obviously the sitar is from Harrison though.

no no, its about john and 1 of the beatles fotoers wife having an 1 year long affair and how 1 night she would not do him and made him sleep in the bath tub and in the morning when he woke up she was gone so he brunt her loft down

he tried to make it seem like he was having an affair so cyn would not know and she didnt! his plane worked

No, the whole song is about about a girl who cock-teased him all night long, and then made him sleep in the tub, instead of with her; do you get it now...? The anger he felt the next day (when she was gone) probably led to him at first thinking, "I ought to burn this bitch's house down since shes left me here unattended, that and all the tacky art she keeps within it." Fortunatley John Lennon channeled his frustration over the incident into a song.
