  • yeah well you're forgetting something. massive media corporations generally produce something worth watching. i don't want to hear some idiot's random conspiracy theories and usually worthless opinions.

  • true - there is a ton of garbage out there in podcast land but there is also a ton of garbage on the big networks as well. the good stuff is usually someone who is passionate about telling good stories - network or not.

  • Seems to be working out for those guys just fine since Google decided to buy them.

  • Uh, I wasn't "blasting" anyone I was just questioning the profitability of YouTube... 8 months ago.

  • Others don't "foot the bill" as you put it. Yes, some podcasts do (TWIT and AOL for example), but you're seeing more and more companies offering flat rates for bandwidth nowadays (Libsyn comes to mind).

Please do your research before blasting the podcasting community.

  • That's cool. Oh, commercial break!

    Yeah, that's really cool! :-P

  • Hi! I'm a random YouTube visitor, wondering how in hell they can pay their bandwidth bill. As long as others foot the bill for podcasting bandwidth, it makes plenty of sense... however, when producers have to pay for it, it really cuts into ad revenue, doesn't it?
