  • You must be child of the National Convention...A Dorsey product. I noticed you said Clara Ward. Not too many young people know the O'Neals or Clara Ward unless they are Dorsey and Moales products. Be blessed.

  • I'm not really a child of the National Convention, but I've just done a lot of research over the years in Gospel music. I started with Mahalia Jackson, and in doing search on her, I came across lots of others like Clara Ward, Alex Bradford, Rosetta Tharpe...and in doing research on them, I came across others...so one led to another.

Thanks for viewing my postings. You be blessed also!

  • I would to like to know did they died cause I was not aware of them pasting away. I do really thank God for them. This is really gospel music.

  • Eddie O'Neal passed away in the early 90's. Edgar O'Neal passed on January 16, 2008, which happens to be the same day Clara Ward died in 1973.

  • All you can do is cry for what Gospel use to be. I was a kid living in Los Angeles listening to this album over and over trying to learn the chords. About 15 16. Thank you for that diminished chord in re-VIVE Andrae Crouch and thank you for writing this song. No one has ever done it like these two.

  • @TheFirecogicuk C.O.G.I.C is an organization, your denomination is Pentecostal. Im 4th generation C.O.G.I.C

  • Love how they've got both the organ and the piano goin at it together

  • @Tweetyc2 i spend alot of time listening to these old time gospel greats, i can relate. it my peace. you mention dorsey, you need to if you have not discoverd it your self, listen to katie sankey sing dorsey's I don't no why. its a must hear!!!

  • Church of God In Christ is a denominatian but we are part of the body of christ! Not just a denomination. The reason why I say they make me proud to be COGIC because they are the many singers that came from our church. Don't hate just be blessed!

  • Thank you Jesus....

  • Dave Hollister does a great version of this song on his CD (The Book of David)

  • does anyone know the lady that sung this song? she frequents gospel stations right now. would love to see a live video of her on youtube. her voice is very annointed!!!

  • a lady came to our church and was singing this song in her own special powerful way, i dont think there was a dry cheek in the congregation

  • They should make you proud to be a (Christian), COGIC is just the denomination, I must say a denomination I am proud to have as a part of Christian faith but yet still just a denomination. Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, etc. does not matter, One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism!
