  • i guess that cleaning the cartridge before the race is cheating?

  • no, the units and carts were both cleaned before this.

  • Just got to say that I love the show ;-D! Keep up the good work!

I am a hobby programmer and I focus a lot on reverse engineering. However, I don't know much about what is beyond the assembly code - so the episodes focusing on hardware are to me the most interessting ones.

Im not sure how much you guys know, but perhaps you could make an episode about how hardware works in general, for people who would like to start with some modding/building?

Anyways, I hope to see another episode soon!

  • explain how the circuitry works? man, that's a whole season right there... there's everything from how timers function, to flip flips, memory, step counters... I guess we could do simpler stuff like solid state/discreet components... but i'm actually working on another show that that might fit into better.

  • What copy of Super Mario Bros. does Zero have? I've never seen that one!

  • He has the version that has SMB, duck hunt, and track and field on it. That copy was packed in with the light gun AND the power pad for track and field :)

  • lol wow same thing happen to me dude. game hard!!!

  • Preferably, you would explain every single detail of the NES or another console of your choice ;-)

I don't really know where to begin as I lack of both knowledge and appropriate hardware and tools. I just know that I would like to know more about software-hardware interaction =]

But I understand that there are a lot of factors to consider when it comes to a show like that (like, what level of knowledge do you assume the viewer has) and that it would probably take a lot of your time to do.

  • I actually have all three: Mario 1, Mario 1 + Duck Hunt, and the one with Duck Hunt and Track and Field.

My Track and Field cartridge is the least beat up of the three. (Doesn't seem to help much, though.)

  • I got that too!! PowerPack, old as hell, still have my huge box too.
