i saw this movie last night for the first time..it seemed realy long but the ending as pretty good..and threw out the whole movie you didnt know if there was a plot against her and she was being drugged all the time or if she was just crazy..but towards the end you start ti figure it out..the part where he yells "god is dead! hail satan" is used in alot of music for an intro..

In my opinion, it's scarier by leaving it to the imagination. It also allows for the movie to transcend the limitations of the time so that we don't have a then scary demon baby which would look like a funny thing to laugh at today.

Also, less is more.

usually the people who have seen the film say that they can remember the baby's face even if it's never shown in the movie! such a great scene!
