Good. Is it just me or does Detroit need to play the sportsman like thing and trade away their good players after the cup they won a few years ago? I hope they all get hurt and are worth next to nothing for a trade.

Actually, the Canucks never offered him a contract extension. They thought that Alex Edler was ready to fill his spot and wanted to open up cap space so they could afford to resign the Sedins.
In a perfect world, he'd still be a Canuck. He played his entire career here and the fans always loved him. He also liked it in Vancouver but unfortunately, it's a business after all. Ohlund is quality guy and he'll always be a fan favorite in Vancouver.

He wasn't trying to make a statement, he was trying to stop Zetterberg, which he did VERY WELL. Checking does serve a purpose in this sport. And I'm a Wings fan, so don't think I'm just sucking Ohlund's dick. Clean hit. Kronwall would've made the same check.
