@FrkJonas That wasn't the point of the show. The story was only to get him to the point of becoming Superman, not of Clark doing things as Superman. It was a story about how growing up the way he did, caused him Superman to have the ideals and values that he does.

Tom Welling chose not to wear the suit because he was afraid he would inherent the superman curse. The shots of him in the "suit" are shot of him either face up or far away because the suit is all CGI in this. If you want to know what the "superman curse" is, look it up.
