Who Get's to Vote? Feb. 27th 2012, at the CUNY Joseph S. Murphy Institute Center for Worker Education.

This forum looks at the coordinated attack on voting rights, focused on those states that have experienced substantial minority population growth in recent years and an increased young and minority voter turn-out in 2008. It lays out the proposed and enacted restrictions such as those meant to impede voter registration drives and curtail early voting. It looks at the most promising national strategies for labor and civil rights organizations to combat this attack on voting rights, and the role of unions in ensuring the broader implementation of the Motor Voter law.
