The Halo Waypoint forums perfectly point out the problems of Karen Traviss's books, her portrayal of Halsey, her portrayal of the Sangheili, and her inconsistency's with cannon.

Oh, and lets not forget that she messed up with the Star Wars community before she came to Halo.

To everyone insulting Karen, you can fuck off. They thought it was a good idea hiring her. They didn't bitch about her use of Halsey. Halsey needed to be pushed down a tad. She DID always look invincible and intelligent. She just showed that the brick of a woman had emotion and wasn't as tough as we all thought. I enjoyed the Glasslands, and don't think that people should "come back to call Karen a cunt" because thats just rude and mean to a fairly good author.
