Part 1 of a 4 part interview with Philip Castle, a British Illustrator most widely recognised for his iconic creations of the posters for Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange and ' Full Metal Jacket'. Philip has also designed many other film posters including Tim Burtons, 'Mars Attacks', Jack Nicholson's 'Goin' South' and Ken Russell's 'The Boyfriend', and also for album covers for artists such as David Bowie, Pulp, The Rolling Stones, Metronomy and Paul McCartney's Wings. Included in this interview are never-before-seen photographs of early development sketches, and artefacts from his film work with Kubrick and others. Part one explores the development of the poster for 'Full Metal Jacket'
@tomes55moon Hah i never quite looked at the 'Sucks' thing it that way before, still a little tenuous methinks, but hey why not. I think you are right about the 'Kubrik' addition. Thanks very much for your comments. Steve

great video! Really enjoyed it thanks for uploading. Two things, just a suggestion - you should re upload it but add 'Kubrick' somewhere in the video title and I bet it will get a lot more hits.People need to see this but it at present could be hard to find. 2) i never really got the 'in vietnam, the wind doesn't blow, it sucks' but i think I did just then! and I quote....'you want sucky sucky???'
