There are more levels on the Mega Drive version, and there is no one version better than the other. The arcade version is great, but its not better than the Mega Drive port. The extra stages and addition of the bosses alone make the Mega Drive version well worthy of playing, and more than makes up for the difference in graphics. Id give both games a 9.5 out of 10 myself.

@handheldgamefan89 Oh yeah mate it is much longer, cause there is 2 quests, on the 2nd quest each enemy takes an extra hit to kill except the bats, cats, and roach rollers. This makes a whole new difficulty level again cause you run out of bullets alot easier.

I never liked the 3rd one simply cause they really made a HUGE mistake taking out the 2 player co op mode. It couldve and wouldve been the perfect Rolling Thunder game with a 2 player mode.
