@DavBlc7 no one ever wanted to use the atom bomb... the reason they used it is because the agreement with the soviets was that so many days after germany surrendered, the soviets would join in to fight japan... the first bomb was dropped the day before the russians were to invade some japan's territory... the worst possible thing would be the russians making the japanese communists... they didnt surrender so russia took a few islands which they still hold to this day...
