I needed a big remote control airplane for some rocket altitude tests, video and photos. This is the 8-foot one (there's a 16-foot wingspan one almost ready to test) . They are cheap and quick to build (about half-a-day), fly very slowly and reliably, and can carry a useful payload. The video cam is a tiny GoPro with the waterproof case removed.
I hope to film rockets dropping from the airplane, flying up to it, and lifting off from on top of it. The eight-footer now has a rocket dropper on it and it works (film footage coming soon) but the real workhorse will be the 16-foot plane (I hope!). Ken S.

Great footage and nice music to go with it! How high did you get with the plane? Are you intending to film the rocket launch from above, or are you testing payloads at this altitude?
